OEM FAQ
1. When will a custom OEM power supply be used?
An OEM power supply is always used when special demands are placed on a power supply that a standard power supply can not fulfill. This can e.g. Requirements for the sizes, environmental conditions, type and number of outputs, power ranges or a specific insulation class.
2. What is the difference between OEM and modified?
There is no direct disconnection, as an OEM power supply is often based on a standard power supply. Typical changes are changed output voltage, different load condition, special wiring etc.
3. What is the procedure for creating an OEM power supply?
We usually split the cost of an OEM power supply into four items:
- Development incl. Sample
- Tooling costs for the series
- Admission costs
- Series price
So you can see at a glance what the cost of the OEM project is and whether an OEM power supply pays off for you. For series production, you will also receive a low series price directly
4. Are large quantities needed for an OEM power supply?
Of course, certain quantities are necessary for it to work for you as a customer as well as for us as a manufacturer is worthwhile. However, we are aware that especially in medical Technology quantities are not as high as in consumer electronics, so we weigh the minimum quantities for each request separately.
